Andy Warhol: A Different Idea of Love | Yaletown, Vancouver

Maison Ai and Revolver Gallery have teamed up to bring over eighty prints from Andy Warhol, one of the most prolific and iconic visual artists of his generation, on display in an empty Yaletown warehouse. It's the largest collection of the American pop artist's one of a kind works ever shown in Canada and you can catch the art show for free until March 30th. Update: Due to popular demand, the exhibit has been extended to April 28th, open Friday to Sunday.

The guys from the Arrival Agency have brought Lukes General Store, by way of Calgary's Lukes Drug Mart, to Chinatown. It comes in the form of a pop-up shop at Space Lab's antique storefront resembling a cavernous brick garage filled with vintage treasures from Malin + Goetz, Baxter of California, Juniper Ridge, and Mast Brothers. To toast their 30th anniversary, the Vancouver Home and Design show teamed up with Samsung Canada and their Passion for Fresh oven initiative to host a pop-up dinner and tasting menu right on the showroom floor on opening night of the convention. Despite some delays and technical difficulties with the equipment, the chefs and cooks coped and adapted to preparing their special culinary concoctions.

Australia's Wyndham Estate celebrated its George Wyndham Founder’s Reserve Shiraz (Cuvée du Maître) vintage a as a rich, full-bodied wine on this night. Its oak nuance and ripe plum, blackberry fruit flavours hit the spot. The winery down under has dedicated its 2010 shiraz from Langhorne Creek to its founder's passion for creating of robust wines.
