TREAT | Machi Machi x Bubble Tea Shop x Richmond

Richmond—Famous for being Taiwanese Mandopop superstar Jay Chou's favourite global bubble tea brand, Machi Machi expanded to Canada's frosty shores a couple years ago—first in Toronto before opening up shop on Robson Street then another location in the boba-rich area of Golden Village last year.



Found in the middle of the Union Square Shopping Centre strip mall complex, Richmond is hardly hurting for more bubble tea shops, but MM certainly stands out for its streamlined but plentiful menu of specialty drinks.

On that thread, MM is more known for its variety of pressed, fresh fruit, fizzy and milk teas or lattes in addition to their bottled drinks.



For my tastes, Machi's flavourful assortment of black milk teas is most sweetly delightful, especially when topped with a choice of crème brûlée, panna cotta, or cream foam.
