UBC—Commercial Drive's now-famous Downlow Chicken Shack finally opened its second location not long ago—they also serve DownLow Burgers out of The American bar—on campus and just in time for freshman students to enjoy on University Boulevard's stacked restaurant row full of dining options.
After three years of operating the original shack, the dynamic husband-and-wife duo owners, Doug Stephen and Lindsey Mann, plan on serving the same trademark (and crazy popular) Nashville hot fried chicken and sandos alongside their sometimes wacky, but never gimmicky, collaborations including specialty flavours or concoctions.
two-piece boneless thighs (extra hot spice level) + dusted fries (with DL sauce)
DL Chicken monogram wall
Cool Ranch sando (Doritos dusted chicken, shredduce, tomato, and rookie sauce)
