Fairview Slopes—Thanks to the return of indoor dining in British Columbia, I was able to enjoy a very pleasant mid-afternoon weekday brunch inside the still newish and very charming French-style neighbourhood café and bakery, Marché Mon Pitou.
7th Avenue off Hemlock Street
If you cannot already tell by strolling by it, Mon Pitou is such a cute little coffee shop meets bistro nestled within a sort of nexus of intersections of some quaint residential streets just aways away from the entrance to Granville Island.
I was simply enamoured with the small variety of freshly-made dishes available to dine-in alongside a nice selection of espresso drinks, pastries, and other goods.
Croque Madame (ham and cheese sandwich topped with béchamel, gruyère, and a fried egg)
Everything feels just so pleasing and inviting in and outside of the café with little soft touches to its decor in addition to a fine selection of offerings.
There's just something so classically unassuming yet still casual to an everyday French dining experience.
Mon Pitiou impresses with its little details and overall setup beyond their appealing food and well-made coffee.
