GETAWAY | Sea to Sky x Fergie's Cafe x Sunwolf x Squamish

Squamish—Late last summer on a somewhat random but much-needed mid-week break of a day trip, we travelled nearby to enjoy a scenic brunch meal from the popular but secluded Fergie's Cafe (reopened after a devastating fire) located on the Sunwolf Riverside Resort cabin grounds in the neighbouring town of Brackendale.

Even on the hour-long drive up along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, the endless scenic summertime views provided some welcome vibes of nature and greenery for a full boost of energy thanks to the Squamish Valley.

At Fergie's, the outdoor picnic grounds and structurally pleasing architecture gave a great visual sense of splendor amidst nature as we ate. As for the food, the basic but traditional breakfast offerings did the trick with some well-cooked mid-morning dining stapes and snacks including a big breakfast place and classic Croque Madame sandwich.



As we continue to deal with the uncertainty of the pandemic and restrictions on travel, gathering, and indoor dining, it's hard not to reminisce of better times even half a year ago when we were more confident or optimistic about our future together. Stay safe and travel soon.
