"Let's do something cool and kind of f*cked up!" ¹
Strathcona—Local craft favourite Superflux Beer Company opened a tasting room of their very own last year in the thick of the pandemic after initially operating out at Callister Brewing before moving into their own permanent digs on Clark Drive.
Over the last few months, I've been able to try a variety of Superflux's specialty beers on tap including:
- Fresh Foam (a House of Funk collaboration) lager: a smooth and refreshing everyday lager.
- Fountrainbier (a Brassneck collaboration) with lemon-lime: nice and limey with a fresh taste.
- Marigold (dry-hopped pale ale): really crisp and easy-drinking as an all-around beer.
- The Creamery (strawberry cheesecake ale): very tasty, surprisingly light, and not nearly as gimmicky as expected with a nice mix of flavours.
- Candyland (cream soda ale): very sweet and creamy but still quite appealing for a nice treat.

While Superflux usually offers their own batch of Two Rivers Specialty Meats beef and pork smokies, on this weekend, the popular Between 2 Buns pop-up was serving a special chili dog collaboration—a delicious departure from their popular trademark smash burgers.

Superflux is already a pleasant destination for funky, somewhat experimental beers (especially IPAs) in their centrally located and beautifully designed brewery.
