North Shore—One of North Vancouver's newest craft micro-breweries North Point Brewing Co., founded by a trio of friends, opened up late last year located around the Lower Lonsdale area smack dab in the middle of the burgeoning new Shipyards Brewery District.
Gully Smash
As for the actual beer, North Point has two core beers and a few seasonals on rotation. I've only tried a couple pints so far but found both rather refreshing right off the bat.
- Strawberry blonde ale (core): a refreshingly light and tasty beverage that's easy-drinking and perfect for summer patio season (their most popular beer).
- Gully Smash (seasonal): a crisp, bold tasting beer with hints of malt and fruity flavours.
NPB has a very welcoming neighbourhood quality to it. The cabin feels mixed with a wood-heavy, industrial bent makes everything all the more inviting. Thus far, their beer lineup seems to be reminiscent of old standards and staples all crisply-made for everyday drinking.
