Delta—Like many other Lower Mainland bars and BC craft breweries, Four Winds Brewing Co.'s tasting room has radically transformed itself into a purely takeout/delivery joint and beer-to-go operation for the time being due to physical distancing protocols to prevent further impact from the coronavirus (COVID–19) pandemic.
pork chorizo tacos (with roasted potatoes, chimichurri aioli, onions, cilantro, and chicharron on flour tortillas)
To go along with my tacos, I grabbed a seasonal Vélo (hazy American Pale Ale with fresh lemon juice and pink Himalayan salt) six-pack of beers for the road. As always, FW's expertly brewed ales are full of crisp and refreshing flavours. Their tacos were substantially meaty with a nice crunch. They also held up well when transported home.
While our focus is obviously on much bigger issues of public health and safety, I cannot wait for the day we can all one day commune indoors to share in good hospitality and many, many beverages together. Until then, stay safe and please stay at home.
FYI: To promote supporting local restaurants, every Wednesday starting April 15th is Takeout Day in Canada.
