Strathcona—(November 14, 2019) After various pop-ups and making the most of the original dessert commissary, the award-winning Beta5 Chocolates and owner/pastry chef Adam Chander have finally opened a proper café space, dubbed "Beta5 V2.0", next door from their home base on Industrial Avenue—finally replacing their makeshift storefront.
At their grand opening—doubling as a showcase for their annual holiday treats including Christmas cream puffs and holiday chocolate collection—guests were showed everything the chocolatier has to offer.
holiday cream puffs
- Christmas Tree: black sesame mousse, yuzu curd, and matcha
- White Forest: pineapple curd, coconut whipped ganache, and coconut crumble
- Rudolph's Nose: strawberry mousse, milk tea mousse, genoise, and sponge cake
- Snowball: raspberry mousse, blueberry compote, passionfruit curd, and pavlova meringue
Christmas chocolate collection
The pristine and shiny sixteen-seat, 900-square-foot space allowed for the artisan chocolate and pastry shop to showcase their new and usual fare including some decadent hot chocolate in addition to serving 49th Parallel Coffee.
Beta5's dedicated café lets dessert eaters enjoy their treats on the spot with further opportunities for them to expand their menu of sweet concoctions. It's now easier to enjoy what the chocolatier has to offer in their bright new space.
