Fairview Slopes—(August 28, 2019) The hotly anticipated Fufú Pancake Café specializes in serving Japanese-style soufflé pancakes and local diners seem excited about its impending opening on West Broadway.
The last few years have seen a boom for importing various (sometimes gimmicky) Asian dining concepts, specialty dishes, and different desserts trickling into our crowded food scene. These particular ultra-fluffy, cloud-like, and wobbly made-to-order pancakes are aiming to be the latest edible craze here.

Sweet or savoury, the creations are of the buttery, airy kind of delicacy with seasonal flavours such as caramelized banana with Nutella, tiramisu, or crème brûlée (my standout so far) on a rotating basis in addition to the limited daily tapioca pearl milk tea (a bit too much going on for my taste) and upcoming brunch service on the horizon.
