Kensington–Cedar Cottage—(April 14, 2018) Vancouver's fifth annual BC Distilled, Canada's premier artisanal spirits tasting festival, took place over the weekend in its second year at the Croatian Cultural Centre in an even bigger, more expanded state showcasing forty local craft distilleries including a dozen new ones.

Partial proceeds benefited Burnaby non-profit Pacific Assistance Dogs Society with dogs roaming around the venue for petting.
Ahead of the main tasting festival, Chef Chris Whittaker hosted a special anticipatory reception and Distillers Dinner at his Timber and Forage restaurants last week.
Whittaker and the SOV cocktail-makers produced some truly delicious and libatious results perfectly pairing local Pacific Northwest fare with carefully-made drinks made with their trademark spirits.

The Saturday night indoor tasting has cemented itself as a nice springtime celebration heading into warmer weather and the thick of patio season.
If nothing else, the festival is always a spirited assembly of our finest distillers all in one convenient location for easy sampling.
Every year, BC Distilled further proves the quality and creativity of British Columbia's craft distilleries even as they still continue to grow, evolve, and innovate with their selection of fine local spirits and liqueurs.
