Crosstown—(June 22, 2016) Fanny Bay Oyster Bar & Shellfish Market opened its doors in Vancouver with a splash bringing along their trademark authentic, "tide-to-table" seafood fare.
Located in the middle of the city's Stadium District, Fanny Bay is offering lunch, dinner and weekend brunch service right off the bat.
The fifty-seat dining room (including sixteen seats dedicated to the oyster bar) makes for an intimate space harbouring a small seafood market where patrons can take home their own bounty of fresh-caught seafood such as live, shucked, fresh and frozen oysters, clams, scallops, shrimp, and prawns.
The cool crowd taking a selfie in the corner, socialites Dorrington Reid, Nicole Wong, and Steph Wong.
Part of the Taylor Shellfish Family of Farms operating three of their eponymous oyster bars in Seattle, Fanny Bay is a fully integrated BC shellfish farming and exporting company harvesting fresh oysters, clams, and mussels for over thirty years while remaining the largest producer of shellfish in Canada.
Sea ya later.
Disclosure: I was hired by Fanny Bay and SMC Communications to photograph the event.More | YVArcade / Scout
