Kitsilano—Tangram Creamery is Vancouver's latest gourmet small-batch, house made ice creamery located on Arbutus Street on the westside of Vancouver.
Full of eastern spirit, hospitality, and influences, their fresh flavours their own special twists.
I dived in upon my initial visit, ordering a triple of standard flavours with their own twists: double chocolate, strawberry strudel, and salted caramel served in a cookie bowl. My favourite was probably the decadent chocolate for its smoothly sweet taste while the strawberry had a nice, light fruitiness as the caramel was a stark but creamy flavour. The French biscuit style cookie crumble (known as "Langue de Chat") of their house made cones and bowls is a tasty, sweet and buttery treat compared to the standard waffle ones.
Tangram is now open every day after their initial limited operating hours just in time for summer ice cream season. Enjoy.
