Hastings–Sunrise—(April 26, 2016) They've returned. Eclectic Toronto noise rock duo Death From Above 1979 teamed up with co-headliner Eagles of Death Metal (and opener Biblical) to kick off their nine-date Canadian tour at the PNE Forum deep in East Vancouver.
Needless to say, things got very loud, very quickly. Still on the heels of supporting their first album together in ten years (and only second overall) after breaking up and reuniting, the Juno award-winning The Physical World for Rock Album of the Year, Sebastien Grainger and Jesse F. Keeler quickly got back into the groove with the same unmistakable energy and verve their fans always demand.
The sweaty crowd of young punks and metal heads moshed and thrashed immediately from beginning to end to the beat of the duo's no-nonsense set of intense tracks one after another in rapid fire succession.
Get ready, because it sounds like Death From Above 1979 is sticking around for a good while.
