Chinatown—(June 3, 2015) California indie rock duo, Bethany Costenino and Bobb Bruno, better known as Best Coast came to town for a vibrant yet chill set at Imperial lounge to kick off their tour supporting their latest album, California Nights.

Best Coast's brand and formula for making dreamy yet endearing beach music is a testament to their seemingly effortless, casual musical chemistry.

Unmistakably west coast, their overall garage rock sound and aesthetic made for a really enjoyable show.

They charmingly played through most of their discography of familiar, smooth hits with subtle grace uninterrupted—save for Cosentino's coughing fit—for a no-nonsense concert consisting of almost every notable song from their catalogue and no encore.

It was an unmistakably west coast night.
