Ocean Wise menu launch at The Fish House in Stanley Park restaurant on May 22, 2013.
The Fish House in Stanley Park restaurant introduced their new Executive Chef Curtis Demyon and announced their 100% Ocean Wise menu (in partnership with the nearby Vancouver Aquarium). Everything was fine and fresh, but I couldn't help being generally underwhelmed by most of the dishes.
The beet fed Kusshi oysters (very top) were solid and refreshing as was their Dungeness crab balls. I did find the avocado spring rolls a little odd, if not standard.
I most enjoyed the spot prawn and roasted pork belly croquette and the Alaskan weathervane seared scallop tartare (above) was quite tasty as well.
Easily the most charming and appealing part of The Fish House is its far west location in Stanley Park, making it attractive to tourists with its scenic view and locale.
