Eurotrip 2013: Lunch at The Camel Pub in the Bethnal Green area of London, England on March 29, 2013.
Our travels started in London as did our food adventures in Europe.
For our first meal on day one, we were all starving from long plane and subway rides so we searched for a local watering hole within walking distance from the flat we were staying at.
The Camel came up for its status as a neighbourhood pub specializing in pot pies.
I ordered the steak and chorizo pot pie served with mashed potatoes, gravy, and peas. It was delicious and filling with great texture, flavour, and well-cooked.
We washed down our pies with some local pints of beer including an IPA brewed down the street, ginger beer, and a German lager. I enjoyed the basic English lunch and staple.
