Eurotrip 2013: Photo walk around Piccadilly Circus in London, England on March 29, 2013.
On our first day in Europe and jolly old England, we went for an afternoon stroll in the Westminster borough of London.
We marvelled at the massive crowds of people in the Piccadilly Circus square area and its surrounding shopping district.
I loved walking by all the live shows currently playing (especially in the West End theatre district). There was a particularly lively umbrella display for the live musical adaptation of Singin' in the Rain playing at the Palace Theatre.
I found Piccadilly's shopping district insane with massive multi-story shops from famous world retailers like Uniqlo, H&M, and Topshop/Topman. The fashion culture here is so different. Think Robson Street on steroids.
The gates of Chinatown are interesting with tons of mostly Chinese, but also some Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese eateries and shops. It feels crazy being bombarded with hearing so many different languages from around the world while walking around the street of London. It was an eventful first day.
