Late night snack and bubble tea at Sweet Bubble Cafe in Richmond on September 29, 2012.
In search for a late night snack away from all the packed cafes in Richmond, we hit up Sweet Bubble Cafe across the street from Richmond Centre.
Unfortunately for the owners, this cafe was deserted without any customers at 9pm (there were a couple more tables when we left). I ordered a mango milkshake. It was fresh, smooth, and fruity.
Janice got a half sweet milk tea with pearls. I thought it was fairly standard and expected.
I succumbed for my love of waffles and ordered a belgian waffle with three heaping scoops of vanilla ice cream of good measure. It was sweet and delicious, very satisfying.
Apparently, this is where you get the best sweet bubble waffle and I must say, it was pretty good, well made and looked great.
This was a pretty solid, indulgent late night snack. I recommend it for its easy availability (open late 'til 1am) and good food and drinks. However, the parking situation is annoying and it is kind of in a random area and you'd never just happen to drop by.
