Dinner at Coco Hut Singapore Restaurant in Richmond on September 14, 2012
Coco Hut provided a surprisingly good dinner at low prices in one of the massive dining villages in Richmond filled with random eateries, tea houses, and hair salons.
Although the roti was thick and a tad disappointing, the beef curry along with the oily rice was quite good, rich, and hearty.
I ate up the well-prepared, clean dishes full of authentic Singaporean style and preparation. Too bad the service was poor as two waitresses were running around trying to serve everyone in the small eatery.
The Hainanese chicken was the real deal. It was rather tasty, quite delicious, and seemed very authentic.
I found this meal rather satisfying, pretty cheap ($20 including tip and tax for everything), and heartily filling for two. Apart from the subpar service, the food and experience was certainly top notch.
