Vancouver Daze, Volume 84: Livingspace's La Dolce Vita fundraiser and party in Kitsilano on August 29, 2012. Published in Vancouver Is Awesome.
Heading to Livingspace's showroom and parking lot for an evening of "Furniture, Fashion, and Fun".
Decked out to the nines, the Kits locale acting as an intimate street party and indoor lounge on a cool summer night, just barely avoiding the rain.
Enjoying some classic cocktails from House Guest Supper Club (vodka sour and raspberry daiquiri). Washing it down after some delicious grub from the food trucks parked outside.
Tacofino Cantina: This was one big, delicious taco filled to the brim with fried fish goodness and tomato bits everywhere. I found it a hearty, enjoyable, delectable mess to gobble up. I’m not usually one for giant tacos, but this was rather satisfying.
Vij’s Railway Express: Vij’s samosa was absolutely delicious and crispy with steaming hot potatoes and peas inside. It was quite tasty and plump. Their cassava fries were also great for munching on, but the lamb kebab was just okay.
Experiencing Livingspace’s new showroom of interesting takes on modern living and lifestyle just ajar from the sushi bar from Ki Modern Japanese.
Janice and I being silly and posing with our drinks in the upstairs furnishing showroom lounge with everything in support of Emily Carr’s Industrial Design program and scholarship fund.
Capping the night with the main event, an offbeat, eclectic runway fashion show from Bacci's. Here's to the good life.
