ChineseBites signature dishes tour dinner #2 at Fatty Cow Seafood Hot Pot on Victoria Drive on July 19, 2012.
Our second ChineseBites outing was for some more spicy, seafood hot pot goodness.
We had two soup bases going, a spicy broth and peanut soup. Everyone preferred the spicy one.
I was disappointed by the fish and beef cubes. The former was too boney and the latter chewy. The rest of the beef slices and balls were quite great. There was a wide selection of raw meats.
I'd never had fresh, raw lobster in hot pot before and it was quite refreshing and delightful.
In addition to the hot pot, we sampled some garlic scallops. They were beyond delicious.
It was another epic dining adventure with Kevin, Sherman, Alvin, with newcomers Janice and Romina. Fatty Cow is my only destination for Chinese hot pot in the city.
