Brunch tasting at The BiBo Italian Restaurant in Kitsilano on June 26, 2012.
The year old Italian eatery is debuting a new authentic Italian brunch menu this weekend.
Known for its stove oven kitchen, The BiBo screams Italiano with its very (almost stereotypical) lively, animated propietors.
Aside from morning staples like eggs and bacon, BiBo offers specialty dishes like farnata, cheese focaccia, bagna cauda, and cremottino pernigotti.
Their selection of pastas and lasagnas were probably my biggest hit thanks to my tongue for cheese and meats.
BiBo also debuted a new gelato machine dispensing delicious dark chocolate gelato made from chocolate and water. It was sweet deliciousness.
All the dishes are carefully prepared and served with attention to detail and authenticity. I must admit I'm no Italian purist but it's clear BiBo's authentic, precise manner is the key to its appeal and experience.
