CBC Radio's On the Coast lunar new year special and panel discussion at Aberdeen Centre in Richmond on January 20, 2012. (9:52)
You can listen to my interview and panel discussion (below or download here) moderated by CBC Radio afternoon show host Stephen Quinn featuring anti-racism consultant Eric Wong, Vancouver Asian Film Festival founder Barbara Lee, and myself.
We discussed the cultural shifts in lunar new year traditions and how we celebrate our heritage. It was interesting hearing the different takes on customs and being reminded of the past.
Jasper Sloan Yip, who I saw perform live at CBC HQ the day before, was also there for a wrap around performance in between news and talk segments.
