Late night dinner at Oysi Oysi Restaurant and sushi bar on Alberni Street on October 28, 2011.
Every dish seemed to have a zesty or spicy flavour to it at Oysi Oysi. We hit up the sushi bar randomly after our shenanigans at Glowbal's Black + Blue opening party. My favourite dishe was the seared peppercorn tuna sashimi. It was dynamite.
The tuna avocado salad was solid and fine in quality. Everything was pretty solid with a few standouts.
The Tokibo and smoked tuna batera sushi dish was a little soft, but nice and deliciously fine.
The fried spicy prawns, tuna, squid, chicken joints, wings, etc. were all doughy goodness served hot with jalapeños did the trick going down with Asahi beer and hot saki.
All the dishes from sushi to cooked items, and raw beef were fine and tasty. Oysi Oysi certainly quelled our late night hunger pangs after partying it up.

I didn't have high expectations, but it really was a good meal. Those chicken joints were good, and I love the fact that they cut jalapeños onto everything!
I've walked by this place a few times and always wondered if it was good. That tuna sashimi looks great, I'll have to try it soon!
