Comfort food at Hidden Tasting Bar & Social Lounge in The Westin Grand Hotel on Robson Street on November 10, 2011.
We ducked into The Westin Grand to try the aptly named Hidden lounge. We feasted on some fine comfort food.
The lobster poutine was... well, add tasty lobster pieces to fat potato wedges with gravy and cheese curds and you get the idea. Tasty.
The fries and onion rings were fairly decent. The smoky ketchup was quite delicious and full of flavour.
We ordered a bunch of tasteful dishes. The steak bites cooked medium rare (very top) were quite good. I dug their selection of beers, particularly the apricot weizen.
The fried chicken and waffles were also scrumptious. It was a nice meal in a rather reclusive locale, upstairs in the hotel tucked away on busy Robson Street.
