Expo 86 Quarter Century Look-back Party at Science World on May 6, 2011.
From Vancouver Is Awesome and Yelp Vancouver with Angela Jung (above), Karra Barron, Dennis Pang, May C., Nick Routley, and Jeremy Lim.
Vancouver celebrated the 25th anniversary of Expo 86 with a look-back '80s party.
My buddy and partner in crime, Angela, and I were stoked for it and especially excited about the free t-shirt printing station.
The t-shirts were super popular. I was bummed that I mistakenly got the regular Expo 86 retro logo everyone got, instead of the old school Science World one I ordered. I like being different. Oh well.
There were a ton of 1980s memorabilia on display with the kiddy fun stations.
Visiting the place after hours was definitely an interesting experience.
We all enjoyed the different science stations. It was pretty amusing.
It's funny how the play stations brought out the kid in all of us.
Dennis broke out his iPad to cheat on how to solve one of the puzzles.
Jeremy tried his hand at fitting in the box.
Crucial Taunt served as the '80s cover band belting out some classic tunes.
I was impressed by their range and eclectic playlist of nostalgic hit songs from the past.
We were all pretty amused by the science toys, and puzzles. Some of us spent a lot of time baffled by some of the brain teasers.
It was fun times at Science World decked out with an '80s bow. Sometimes it's fun to revisit the past and wax nostalgic.
The anniversary party brought back highlights and memories from I a time I was too young to recall. It was a cool look back to the year of my birth. The city has changed so much.
