Vancouver Daze, Volume 61: Jacquie Somerville's My Fat Little Rule Book launch at Rosewood Hotel Georgia on March 21, 2012. Published in Vancouver Is Awesome.
Atop the Penthouse Rosewood Suite at the Hotel Georgia, Vancouver's fashion writers amassed to preview Jacquie Somerville's new foodie meets fashion guidebook.
Mixing and mingling about with me were Sophia, The Modline's Amanda Panes, and Victoria Wong (above).
The casual spread was impressive yet underscored mirroring the theme of Jacquie's book as we sipped on wine and her special "Somerville Slammer" cocktail.
Jacquie read an except from her book. I must admit, it was pretty charming. I enjoyed the weight loss meets food lover and fashion struggle. Someone compared it to the mischievous adventures of Bridget Jones.
It was a nicely subdued yet lavish affair. Style Struck's Olivia Lovenmark and Vancity Buzz managing editor Crystal Kwon (above) chatting as waves of young, stylish professionals wandered all about.
It's always a pleasure mingling and hobnobbing with fashionistas like Alicia Quan (above) and company.
It felt like a classy and obviously fashionable night (slightly out of my element) surrounded by such strong female professionals. I enjoyed the theme of fashionable foodie, loving food, and staying fit.
It was another casual night of fun with lovely folks in the community. I leave you with the gorgeous view of the downtown night sky atop the rooftop balcony.
