Lunch at Feastro the Rolling Bistro Taco Truck at the corner of West Cordova Street and Thurlow Street in Coal Harbour on August 29, 2011.
On a random Monday, a bunch of us gathered by Waterfront for lunch at Feastro food truck to feed our hunger pangs.
I was impressed by the full menu and range of options available. It was hard to choose. I ended up with a (large) taco and split an order of poutine. I thought $17 for both was on the expensive side.
I went with the prawn and prosciutto taco (left). That's the special chorizo (right). The tacos were massive and difficult to eat and bite down on.
The poutine was a mixed bag. It was big, but there was not enough cheese or gravy. I was disappointed. I probably should have stuck to the seafood options.
Dennis tried to inhale his taco. He was less than successful, destroying it. Taco 1, Dennis 0. However, we were all quite amused.
The food was good and I was full, but I wasn't entirely sold. The seafood was fresh, but pricey for lunch at a food truck and a bit of an awkward eating experience.
