Drinks, wine, spa treatment, scenery, breakfast, and random fun at Sun Peaks Resort from August 12 to 14, 2011.
Crystal and Sophia, along with our cohorts had a lot of random fun on our Sun Peaks trip.
I tried to spend as little time as possible in my lodge style room and enjoy the outdoors.
There were lots of drinks.
Among them were mango coladas, piña coladas, mojitos, mai tais, martinis, polar bears, and lots of wine.
The first night after our flight, which Crystal narrowly missed, sprinting to the small aircraft seconds before we were to depart, we dined at Powderhounds Restaurant and the next day at Mantles Restaurant & Lounge at the Delta Sun Peaks.
We even had a wine and popcorn party in our hotel room Saturday night talking shop and sharing stories.
The breakfast treats at the Tod Mountain Coffee House & Creperie were quite good.
We were partial to the breakfast burritos and waffles.
I received a complimentary August special spa treatment.
It included a coconut foot bath, massage, and facial. It was heavenly and beyond relaxing.
The best part of the trip was hanging out with Crystal and Sophia.
We enjoyed some "polar bears" (hot chocolate with peppermint Schnapps). What a delicious combination.
On the last day there (Sunday), Melanie took us up the mountain.
We went via chair lift to enjoy the scenery up high.
It was really beautiful with flowers everywhere.
Everything was so green. It did get quite windy up top.
