Vancouver Daze, Volume 3 Gelato Tweetup at Bella Gelateria near Waterfront on February 8, 2010. Published in Vancouver Is Awesome.

I like simple tweetups in joints I go to anyway. I jumped at the chance to return to Bella Gelateria for some of the best gelato in the city and hang out with the cool people there.

Mmm... I love my gelato. I stuck with my usual offering of espresso and dark chocolate 85%. There were a few special flavours for the night including ginger and cinnamon, Gewürztraminer, lavender and honey, and chocolate and mint Schnapps with two flavours for the price of one.

I love hanging out and drifting in and out of conversations while sneakily snapping some shots including organizer "Vancity Amy" Elderkin (above).

May (left) is a little more open to them versus fellow V.I.A.er and photographer Maurice Li (right) who likes to be the one doingthe shooting.

Friendly faces were everywhere like (top: left to right) Nicolb, Adelina Wong, Cheryl Tan, and Kathy Ko.

It quickly got crowded pretty fast and a little cramped.

The place was buzzing with the usual suspect busy tweeting like my friends above, Colene (left) and Dennis Pang (right).

Amy got a nice haul of canned goods for the Vancouver Food Bank. I was very happy when they moved the chairs a tables out of the after a few newbies left. I wish more places cleared things out to accommodate more people being able to stand around and mingle.

A shout out to maestro gelatiere James Coleridge (above) and Amy for putting on a pretty wicked meet up.

The place was jam packed and the gelato was flowing along with the good conversation.
